MyInfo - Personal Information Manager That Frees You

Some people enjoy keeping a journal of what they do, maybe to be easier for them to recall certain moments or certain details or just because they feel like doing it. There are also some people that like to keep a personal collection of recipes, especially if they like to experiment a lot and create new types of dishes. For all these people there is one software and that's MyInfo. This is a personal-reference information manager and a complete solution for collecting, organizing, editing, storing and retrieving personal-reference information. It allows any user to create perfectly structured documents for any purpose.

MyInfo installs very quickly and takes up little hard disk space. It can run on most versions of Microsoft Windows and requires low system resources.

The interface looks a bit crowded at first because of the large number of options and settings available, but one will soon realize that it's not like this, as all the options are in the right place, being easy to reach. The program includes some templates to help the user get started. Thus, a diary and a cookbook are available. The user can also create his own project from scratch.

Basically, the interface consists of two panels, the left one acting as a table of contents, displaying all the topics of the document and the other containing the actual text for each topic. The user can add already created documents or he can create new ones, including subdocuments.

The functionality of MyInfo can be extended by using various plugins. Some of them are included, but more can be downloaded from the producer's website. Besides that, keyboard shortcuts can be used for completing most of the program's actions. Created projects can be exported as a proprietary file format or can be exported as a text file.

Pros:
It includes some templates to help the user get started. It also allows the creation of any type of project. The interface is well organized and all the options are easy to reach.

Cons:
The writing tools are limited and also some options are not complex enough to be used by an advanced user.

MyInfo is the right program for editing and organizing personal-reference information.
